This is the easiest and most reliable way to reach the Corn Islands as most major airlines fly into Managua, Nicaragua’s capital city. After clearing customs, immigration, and collecting your luggage, exit the terminal and head to the left. Here you will find a separate terminal building for La Costeña, the regional airlines, that provides service to Corn Island, and other locations within Nicaragua. If you arrive to Managua after 2pm, then you will have to spend a night before you can fly out to Corn Island. We recommend staying at either the Camino Real, or Best Western. Both are located close to the airport, and provide complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.

3 Flights depart  to Corn Island from Managua  daily at 6:15am 11am and 2pm. Round trip tickets to Corn Island cost approximately $165 USD, current pricing can be seen on their website. Reservations are required and can be made online here. Flight time to Corn Island is approximately 90 minutes, usually with one stop in Bluefields. Baggage is limited to 30 lbs per person (you will be charged a rate of $1.20/lb over this limit).

Once on Corn Island, our dive center can be reached by taxi. Most taxi rides to anywhere on the island cost around 20 Cordobas per person.
